Park Circle in Spring

Park Circle in Spring

Come enjoy Angelica, New York

This small Village is nestled in the hills of Allegany County, part of the Appalachian Mountain foothills.  Elevations range to over 2,000 feet in the surrounding hills while gentle Angelica Creek makes its way to the nearby Genesee River.  The downtown reminds many visitors of the New England they remember from generations ago.  The Village was the first community in the Allegany County frontier lands of early 1800's and retains much of its original layout. The Village offers a nice walking area and with low traffic volumes it is a safe area to walk and bicycle. The Main Street offers wide shoulders to bicycle and routes along the neighboring County roads take bicyclists on roads that offer vistas and rural scenes. Benches are available along Main Street and in the Park Circle to rest and soak in the small town ambience. The Village is also the site of the Allegany County Fair Grounds. Nearby State Forests offer many hiking, equestrian, snowmobile and skiing opportunities.  Many Artisans make their homes in the nearby hills and valleys between Angelica and Alfred. Come explore this quaint community and its abundant fine country shops and historic charm.
