Music
- Music in the Park is an annual series of concerts held on
Wednesday evenings during the summer months. The Angelica Lions works to set up
this series. Generally there are three to four concerts held. Check

and acts.
- Genesee Valley Chorus - vocal group that is open for new voices
to join. They meet at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church on Fassett
Lane in Wellsville. Contact 593-3173
- Wellsville Performing Arts Orchestra - Contact Judith Belin at

- Houghton College has an exceptional music program and
concerts/recitals are held on regular schedule.
- Alfred Village Band - If you play a band instrument they could use
your talent. They practice in June and play in July on Wednesday nights at the

- Hornell Area Wind Ensemble - rehearse Tuesday nights at the

- Southern Tier Symphony - Presents four concerts each year in

- Live music at the Terra Cotta Coffeehouse - Main Street, Alfred.
- Live music at Boomers in Scio.

- Players of Allegany County - Full production theater

- Wee Playhouse - Alfred - Readers Theater - monthly

- Alfred Community Theatre - Summer theater in Alfred 607-587-8110
- Alfred University - Both college level presentations and
national tours stop at Alfred University to present theater, dance and
concerts.

national tours stop at Houghton College to present theater, dance and
concerts.
- Alfred State College - Both college level presentations and
national tours stop at Alfred State College to present theater, dance and
concerts.
PHYSICAL ART
Annual
Art Show of Seniors at Alfred University is held near the beginning of
May each year late Saturday. Check
calendar for
date. Approximately 100 graduates per year showing their portfolios during this
weekend.
Allegany Artisans
- Hold open house over a weekend in October. Check their website for

at 7 & 9 each night. Check the Wellsville Daily Reporter for latest

- Alfred University and Alfred State College also hold movie screenings
during the regular school terms that are open to the public. Check directly
